Compass Academy opened in the Fall of 2011, after a group of dedicated educators and parents associated with the Norbel School in Elkridge pulled together to create a new school. The new school’s formation and progress were documented in several articles. Only 8 weeks after the close of Norbel, Compass Academy welcomed its inaugural class.
